ANDRÉS RUEDA (Piedrahita de Castro, Avila, Spain, 1956) He went to secondary school in Piedrahita, where he stayed up to the age of 14. He continued his training in Zamora and Madrid. Deeply influenced from an early age by nature and the cultural traditions in his hometown, his paintings show many trees, flowers and rivers. Benjamín Palencia’s moving to Piedrahita was a key to Rueda’s oil-awareness. Andrés Rueda uses oils. His favourite subjects are landscapes, flowers and rivers. Creative freedom, an innate sense for poetry and a literary descriptive sense for the intimate are all revealed in Andrés Rueda’s works. Andrés Rolls, was born in Piedrahita (Ávila) in the year 1956. Already resident in Catalonia, studies in the School of Fine Arts of Sabadell (Barcelona) for later perfect its know-how, of the method and of the position, in various workshops of prestigious professional painters until, with greater experience, decides to undertake its private road of searches and landscape encounters. Andrés Rolls, in the fullness that already permits to affirm their personal criterion, has chosen, as plastic esthetics, a way to paint, though entirely contemporary, next to the tendencies that succeeded in the passed centuries, prerrafaelismo, symbolism, impressionism and neoimpressionism. It surprises and admires, that narrow relation and that dialogue that maintains with its better friend, the landscape. In base to deep happiness and corresponded rapport, we guess as the landscape has offered him more intimate secrets, has discovered him hidden shades and unpublished perceptions, has opened him new perspectives and unlimited horizons where will not fit them to trade them repetitions, neither the dangerous amaneramientos.
